Ballingdon Meadows lies on the south-eastern outskirts of Sudbury, is a very short stroll to the River Stour and just a mile from the centre of town. The station is a six-minute drive or a leisurely walk following the river around the southern border of the town.
There is a comprehensive list of destinations available by bus including Braintree, Ipswich, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds and many of the villages in the surrounding region.
Sudbury lies directly west of Ipswich and east of Cambridge with the A131 heading south towards Braintree and Chelmsford and the A134 heading north to Bury St Edmunds. Stansted Airport is the most convenient departure point for overseas being around 30 miles away, a drive of well under the hour.
